- Worn by Crown Princess William of Prussia in 1853
- She was born Princess Augusta of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach. Later, she became Prussia's Queen Consort, even later German Empress, while her husband was enthroned as William I.
- Her mother, Maria Pavlovna, was born a Grand Duchess of Russia, being one of Tsar Paul's daughters.
- In this portrait by Franz Xaver Winterhalter, which adorns the Bow Room at Buckingham Palace to this day, she wears the red ribbon of the Prussian Order of the Red Eagle.
